Boston HOB Summer Lineup Boasts Some of the Best of Urban Music's New School

Santigold w/ Trouble Andrew & Amanda Blank @ House of Blues, Boston
This time last year, Santigold dropped her critically acclaimed, seriously eclectic, highly enjoyable self-titled debut. That fall, she headlined her first tour, which stopped at Boston's Paradise Rock Club. Now, she's back in Beantown, this time working a newer and bigger venue, but bringing some old friends along. Get ready for some rawkus rap-n-roll when she, pro skateboarder-turned-rocker Trouble Andrew, and electro sex rapstress Amanda Blank (she's Spank Rock's musical gal pal; Rock raps on Santi's "Shove It") come to the House of Blues (15 Landsdowne St., Boston), June 1.

Keri Hilson & The Dream w/ Bobby Valentino @ House of Blues, Boston
On May 26, Keri Hilson and The Dream will bring their distinctly dirty South brand of R&B to the House of Blues (15 Landsdowne St., Boston) to give Bostonians a spring preview of the sizzling R&B tracks that will heat up their summer. Hilson's versatile vocals and sweet-meet-sassy songs ("Turnin' Me On," "Energy") are equal parts vulnerable and vixenish, while Dream's sultry, synthy sexcapades ("Rockin That Thang," "Falsetto") are perfect for making love in the club. Ludacris protege Bobby Valentino (featured on Lil Wayne's hit "Mrs. Officer") tags along.

Asher Roth & Kid Cudi w/ B.o.B. & 88-Keys @ House of Blues, Boston
Asher Roth's breakout hit "I Love College" simultaneously had freshman rejoicing and soon-to-be graduates reminiscing, while Kid Cudi's found his slacker/stoner anthem "Day N Nite" in heavy rotation from AM to PM on radio stations and video channels across the country. They share the stage at the House of Blues (15 Landsdowne St., Boston) on July 14, and up-and-comers B.o.B (who channels Outkast on "In the Sky") and 88-Keys (who channels a senior citizen in his hilarious music video "Viagra") round out this introduction to the new school of rap nerds.
